The company also showcased its range of tractors with varying horsepower capacities and disc plough equipment available to farmers. Through a partnership with Equity Bank Kenya, farmers can access financing covering up to 95% of the equipment cost, accompanied by a one-year comprehensive insurance cover and two free servicing sessions.
The County Mechanisation Officer and Crop Production Officer also advised farmers on best agricultural practices aimed at increasing productivity. Farmers were encouraged to plant early during the rainy season, harvest on time to reduce post-harvest losses, and purchase certified seeds from accredited agrovet suppliers.
Looking Ahead
The AGM concluded on a positive note, with members expressing optimism about the future of the cooperative. The resolutions passed, leadership continuity, strategic partnerships, and commitments from stakeholders reaffirm the cooperative’s mission of empowering farmers and strengthening agricultural value chains within the region.
